Magnolia

The Magnolia collection is a modern take on the namesake oriental flower. Floral motifs are largely epitomised across the eponymous designer Fei Liu’s jewellery. For this collection, Fei sought inspiration from his art background and his love of oriental flowers. One painting that caught Fei’s eyes was the ‘Almond Blossom’ by Vincent van Gogh. The painting not only uses understated colours and oriental flowers to allure the eyes but also has a poetic undertone, in that the magnolias represent awakening and new hope as they blossom in the spring season.

This capsule collection blossoms with the pretty cat’s eyes and dewdrops of 8 hearts and 8 arrows cubic zirconia. The beauty of the cat’s eye is its imperfections; it is the inclusions and unique reflection of light that resembles the slit-eye of a cat. The petals are finished with satin and high polish to give that contemporary look for the modern woman. A collection inspired by the magnolia trees, which are a symbol of awakening and hope.
