HRH Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall yesterday visited the Birmingham School of Jewellery to discuss the regeneration project of the historic Jewellery Quarter.
Fei Liu Fine Jewellery was amongst a hand selected group of Jewellery Quarter based designers and makers, to showcase our work to the Royal couple as Alumni of Birmingham School of Jewellery. Organised by the Jewellery Quarter Development Trust, the visit has helped to establish the plans for the expansion and redevelopment programme for the Jewellery Quarter.
Fei showcased a selection of his extravagant bespoke commission pieces, including a new piece with over 120 carats of green tourmaline and 15 carats of diamonds, as well as a large tanzanite and rubellite ring with diamonds and sapphires.
“It was a great honour to meet HRH Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall and a wonderful opportunity to show them my designs. I was able to explain the inspiration behind my work and how proud I am to be part of the Birmingham School of Jewellery. A huge thank you to the Jewellery Quarter Development Trust who made this incredible event happen.” -Fei Liu
