Some flowers bloom for only a moment. Others are remembered long after the season has passed.
Although inspired by the delicate structure of spring blossom, the design itself began elsewhere — with the discovery of a remarkable hand-carved jasper gemstone. Its soft coral tones, natural variation, and sculptural petal-like form immediately suggested something organic and alive, becoming the starting point for the entire piece.
Rather than designing the earrings first and selecting gemstones afterwards, the creative process unfolded around the jasper itself. The carving guided the rhythm of the composition, influencing the movement of each petal, the balance of colour, and the overall silhouette of the design.
Every piece begins with a sketch. Loose pencil lines explore shape and proportion before evolving into something more tactile and architectural. From there, the composition is carefully translated into gold and gemstone, allowing the natural character of the jasper to remain at the centre of the story.
No two sections of jasper are ever entirely identical. Subtle shifts in tone and texture allow each petal to feel quietly alive, giving the earrings an organic quality that changes with movement and light.
At the centre of each bloom, vivid ruby introduces a concentrated point of colour — rich, luminous, and intentionally placed to draw the eye inward. Yellow sapphires trace delicate golden details inspired by the inner structure of a flower, while granulated gold elements add texture and depth across the design.
Together, the materials create a balance between softness and precision, nature and architecture. Rather than relying on symmetry alone, the earrings are shaped through contrast: smooth against faceted, matte beside polished, fluid curves framed by deliberate craftsmanship.
When worn, the piece transforms again.
Light moves across the carved surfaces differently throughout the day, revealing depth within the jasper and flashes of colour from the gemstones. The earrings become part of the wearer’s movement — no longer simply an object, but something expressive and personal.
